What the shop checker looks at

• Tag slots. Etsy gives every listing 13 tags. Each empty slot is a group of searches the listing can never match.
• Duplicate and plural tags. "gold ring" and "gold rings" target the same search, so one of the two slots is wasted.
• One-word tags. A tag like "necklace" competes with a huge number of listings. Two- or three-word phrases describe what buyers actually type.
• Titles. Very short titles leave out words buyers search for; the same word repeated three or more times reads as keyword stuffing.
• Photos. Listings with fewer than 5 photos show buyers less of the item: add close-ups, scale, packaging and the item in use.
• Descriptions. A very short description leaves buyer questions unanswered. Start with what the item is, in plain words.
• Listings that compete. When several listings share the exact same 13 tags, they fight for the same searches. Give each one a few tags about its own color, size or design.

How to get your Etsy listings file

Etsy lets every seller download their shop data. In Shop Manager, open Settings, then Options, then the Download Data tab. The Currently for Sale Listings file is a CSV with one row per active listing: title, description, price, tags, materials and photo links. That is the file this tool reads. If Etsy changes the menu names, look for "Download data" in your shop settings.

Is my data safe?

The file is read by your browser and is never sent to ListifyAI or anyone else. Close the page and it is gone. You can check this yourself: the tool works even if you switch your connection off after the page has loaded.

What to do with the results

1. Start with the listings at the top of "Fix these first": they have the most missing pieces.
2. Fill empty tag slots first, then replace duplicates and one-word tags. The Tag Analyzer and Tag Generator help with each listing.
3. Rework very short titles with the Title Checker.
4. Change a few listings at a time and note the date, so you can compare views in your Etsy stats over the following weeks.
