This score is our own checklist, built from Etsy's listing rules (140-character titles, 13 tags of up to 20 characters) and common good practice. Etsy does not publish a listing score, and a high grade cannot guarantee rankings or sales.
The ListifyAI listing generator writes a new title, all 13 tags and the description from one product photo (5 credits). 20 free credits at signup, no card.
Try ListifyAI free β 20 credits βA listing is more than a title. Search reads your title and tags, buyers read your photos and description, and a weak spot in any of them costs views or sales. The grader looks at all four parts and gives you one score out of 100, split like this:
| Part | Points | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Title | 35 | Length (up to 140 characters), word count, repeated words, filler words, capitals, comma-separated phrases |
| Tags | 35 | All 13 used, 20 characters max, duplicates and plurals, single words, special characters, occasion / recipient / style coverage |
| Description | 20 | Length, main keyword in the first 160 characters, size and materials, line breaks and bullets |
| Photos and video | 10 | Number of photos, whether there is a video |
The title and tag checks use the same rules as our Etsy Title Checker and Etsy Tag Analyzer, so the results match if you run them separately.
Etsy titles can be up to 140 characters and each listing gets 13 tags of up to 20 characters. We recommend using the space: a title made of three or four comma-separated phrases, and 13 different multi-word tags that cover what the item is, what it is made of, its style, who it is for and the occasion. Plurals and repeats waste a slot because they match the same searches.
We suggest 150 to 400 words. Start with a sentence that contains your main keyword, the first phrase of your title, because the opening lines are what buyers see first and what search engines often show under your link. Then give the facts buyers need before they order: dimensions with units, materials, what is included, care, personalization and processing time. A short bulleted list is easier to read on a phone than a single paragraph.
Etsy recommends photos at least 2000 pixels wide and tall, with a landscape or square first photo. We suggest at least 8 photos: the main shot, close-ups, a scale photo (in hand, worn or in a room), variations, the back or inside, and the packaging. A short video showing the item turning or in use helps buyers judge size and texture. To get photos to the right size and under 1 MB, use our Etsy Photo Resizer.

On this grader, 80 or more means the title, tags, description and photos all cover the basics well. Between 55 and 79, a few targeted fixes will make a clear difference. Under 55, an important part of the listing is missing or weak.
